"Yo boss, there's a random man staring at me"

Let’s just start off on a good note, IT’S THURSDAY, APRIL 1ST! April fools

day! Also the day before the long weekend of good friday, easter monday – which to me is defined as 4 straight days of slacking off

My definition of slacking off: reading manga, watching anime (YES :)) Sleeping, Reading, NOT doing homework (cept fun homework)

Now comes the bad. I know people who view this blog want to move on as soon as possible so here it is : I FAILED MY GEOGRAPHY TEST – by fail, i mean asian fail, as in 85% and lower. WHY you ask? because i spent too much time explaining on one part of the test that by the end i didn’t have enough time to do about half of the test. So thus, i had to rush and get about two questions done. And now the highest mark i can get is a 72.5% because i left about 11 points of questions blank. The test was out of 40, so you do the math..

OK! Let’s move on to a less depressing topic shall we? April 1st…KAICHOU WA MAID SAMA ANIME PREMIERE :DDDDDDDDD

*fangirls like crazy :)*

I have watched the most epic episode in my life, and let me tell you, that anime did not disappoint πŸ™‚ I must add pictures to show my undying love for this manga/anime πŸ™‚

Summary: Basically, Kaichou wa maid sama’s a shoujo which involves a class president working as a cafe maid. Then a guy discovers her job and tags along side her, and romantic development, and yeah – if you want to know more, go to wikipedia or read the manga on mangafox or some other manga provider – it isn’t gonna take that long.

Why am as hyped up as a chocolate bar dipped in coffee? Easy, the anticipation of this anime coming out has been building since February (or is it January) when it was announced and when the very (small and bad quality) promo came out on the website. The manga is definitely intriguing, although it is a shoujo, but it has a hidden factor that makes it soo good – which isΒ  basically Usui’s Past.

The title: Kaichou Wa Maid Sama

Title: Kaichou wa Maid Sama – English: Student Council President’s a MAID? (i know, sounds cooler in japanese)

The intro song was…interesting….let’s just say if i had a mouth of water in my mouth at that moment, i would have done a spit take. Why? Because in the beginning, they sang “if you can keep my secret” in japa-nglish. So secret was pronounced sea-cre-eeeeet. Or just like Seacrest without the T.

On a random note, the reason i actually started reading this manga was because I was a class president in grade 1 and 2 and wanted to become one too- boy have i made the right decision to read this πŸ™‚

Now-desu, the characters :

Misaki Ayuzawa, or is it Ayuzawa Misaki?

Main female protanganist, Ayuzawa Misaki, Tsundere Girl, Class president, Cafe latte maid, Usui’s love interest.

Metaphorically, i would describe her as a firecracker. She is strong and loud like one, but she also goes with a pop like one too. We’re talking about a person who takes down every single person in her karate martial arts class, gets the best grade in her year, and works hard till she literally collapses (luckily there’s someone to catch her). In Usui’s words, a Masochist. She has longer hair and lighter eyes in the anime. Eye colour reminds me of oranges.

Usui Takumi – a quatre British and Japanese, a mysterious person who is naturally good at EVERYTHING. Which obviously matches Misaki’s personality, considering that he is the only one Misaki holds as of equal status as him (she hates other guys).

He’s portrayed better than the female protagonist, but still not as “real” as the original. I guess that’s moving pictures for ya.

So that’s it for today, hopefully more creative juices flow through me tomorrow. πŸ™‚

Why watch the next episode?Answer:

Nothing better than cosplaying a marine captain and a tree πŸ™‚
